This coming Monday at the Café L’Artère, Productions Berrisque presents the Ensemble Paramirabo in their first concert as ensemble-in-residence. The ensemble blurs their past with the present in a program exploring beginnings, representations and origins. Works featured on the program include the ensemble’s namesake, Paramirabo by Claude Vivier, Graffiti Songs by Matthew Ricketts written for and premiered by the ensemble in May. Other works include Moon Young Ha‘s Fairy Tale and Yannick Plamondon’s Autoportrait sur Times Square which explores aspects of American media representation. The exciting guitar duo, Guitartare will open the concert at 7:30pm with a program of works by Montreal composers.
